Interview Experiences
Interview write-ups
Round-by-round breakdowns of real SDE interviews — what was asked, what worked, and what I'd do differently.
Susov Consulting
Frontend Engineer
Two-round frontend process — R1 was a JavaScript fundamentals deep-dive, R2 was a live coding assignment (data table with modal, search, and API integration) reviewed by the CPO with a focus on clean, typed, and modular code.
Yuno
Backend Engineer
Referral-driven backend process — 3 rounds. R1 was an OA mixing DSA and API aggregation. R2 went deep on Node.js vs Go, goroutines, and databases. R3 covered SOLID, deployment (Docker, AWS ECS/EC2, blue-green, canary), and a live palindrome in Go. Did well but was ultimately rejected.
Ambientsecurity.ai
Software Engineer
Four-round process spread over more than a month. R1 was an AI-driven screen on system basics and resume deep-dives, R2 was a debugging round on a real repository with concurrency and backward-compatibility discussion, R3 was a much tougher debugging round (after a month-long gap) in an unfamiliar language/framework with 8 test cases, and R4 was the CTO intro and offer discussion.
